The following agenda was created for the meeting we’ve planned for February 27, 2012 for our major businesses( American Steel, New England Forest Products and McGrath Lumber) on Sawmill Road:
- Purpose of the meeting-Beginning of our Master Planning process.
- Are there issues/concerns that you see/have about your location?
- Considerable growth in the immediate area…Do you have any concerns about that?
- Do you see any public safety issues?
- Are you aware of any other businesses who might be interested in locating in Greenfield?
- Do you have input for our Master Plan?
BMarshall will include this agenda in the invitations we have created and send them out this week.
7:40 Dilapidated Buildings
A question was raised about how dilapidated buildings (referencing the old Ferry property abutting New England Forest Products) were being addressed here and elsewhere in town. Following a brief discussion, BMarshall volunteered to raise the question with CEO Peter Hopkins and report back to the Planning Board.
7:50 p.m. PCC Sanford Survey-Minor Subdivision
BMarshall stated the purpose of the PCC was to help the applicant comply with Town regulations and ordinances and noted that nothing in the following conversation would be binding on either party. Ray Shea from Sanford Surveying and Engineering presented a preliminary plat of a proposed minor subdivision of Lot 43 on Forest Road(NH Rte 31)near the Lyndeborough town line. Mr. Shea noted the proposed subdivision will comprise two lots and state approval for two driveway cuts and septic approval has been secured. Following a brief discussion of the driveway regulation and surrounding wetlands, Mr. Shea was referred to the subdivision checklist. If Mr. Shea could provide the abutters mailing labels this week and complete the paper work in time, notification would take place for submission of an application for a minor subdivision on February 27,
2012 at 8:30 p.m. The PCC ended at 8:17 p.m.
8:18 p.m. Zoning Ordinance and Driveway regulation
KO’Connell noted that with the recent frequent turn-over in the position of DPW Supervisor, it might be beneficial for the new DPS Supervisor to have some history about the purpose and intent of the Driveway Regulation and its connection to the Zoning Ordinance. To that end, KO’Connell volunteered to put a copy of the Zoning Ordinance reference and the Driveway regulation in his mailbox. BMarshall will notify the Tim Murray (DPW Supervisor) that the package is coming.
8:23 Adjournment
MSteere moved to adjourn. KO”Connell seconded. The motion carried.
