7:00pm Start of Meeting
MSteere reads minutes from March 9, 2009.
The following corrections were noted:
Line 22 change ‘was approved’ to “were approved”
Line 78 remove the bracket in report
Line 84 make Sawmill one word
MBorden moves that the minutes be accepted as amended. JFletcher seconds, no discussion, all in favor, MSteere abstains, the motion passes.
Election of PB Officers
Current members are: MBorden, JFletcher, GMitchell (alt), KO’Connell, MSteere, BMarshall (alt), GMorris, JAdams (BOS Representative). JAdams mentions that RLucus would be interested in participating. The PB would like to invite RLucus to the next meeting. There are seven positions and two alternates.
Chair: GMorris nominated by MSteere, KO’Connell seconds. No discussion, all in favor, the motion passes.
Vice-Chair: MSteere nominated MBorden, JFletcher seconds, no discussion, all in favor, the motion passes.
Recording Secretary: MSteere nominates KO’Connell as recording secretary, JFletcher seconds, no discussion, the motion passes.

7:20pm Discussion of Planning Board Activities for the Upcoming Year
- CIP with JHalper: tie this in with the Master Plan,
- Master Plan: needs public input and to be updated every 5 years, the PB will review the existing master plan,
- Special Purpose District (Crotchet Mt and others): for placement in the zoning ordinance, GMorris will contact Ogilvie,
- Economic Development Plan,
- Bonding Guidelines: GMorris will contact Ogilvie.
MSteere suggests adding reviewing non-grandfathered driveways that may be causing problems for the town. GMorris questions if it is a PB issue or an enforcement issue. It is felt that the PB can task the COE to pursue this type of review as an agent of the PB. PHopkins would like a list of driveways. MSteere suggests PHopkins works with Fox.
MBorden suggests the PB review the regulations for ‘Excavations’ or ‘Gravel Pits’.
GMorris suggests the PB reviews the Open Space Ordinance. Is it being used as it was intended?
Review Small Wind Energy Systems with Jennings.
PHopkins would like the PB to discuss and possibly develop regulations regarding membrane buildings. BMarshall suggests that PHopkins take some time and educate the PB and then the PB hold a public hearing for comments.
MSteere moves that the meeting be adjourned. MBorden seconds, no discussion, all in favor, the meeting is adjourned.
