Special attendees: Meade Cadot of the Harris Center; Neal Brown, George Rainier, Myron Steere
1. Possible project - Old Bennington Rd. #1 - Meade Cadot of the Harris Center came to give the group some background on this potential project - Ray Cilley has already spoken to Laura and Janet about the same subject. We will vote on getting a Conservation Easement appraisal once we have a quote. Ray said he would get it, Janet will e-mail him to follow up. Possibly this could tie in to the unofficial “Contoocook Corridor” project. Karen will follow up with Don Stokes about moving this up sooner than when he gets back from Florida. Potential appraisers are Scott Heath (Francestown), Paula Clemente/Whittemore
Appraisal (588-6227), and John Newcombe of Hillsborough. For veterans, it’s important to act this year because there is a one-year rider on a bill that increases the deductibility of easements. Bachelor land, also?
2. Forest Rd. Project #1- - per Laura, the listing has expired. Should we write a letter? Carl Inglestrom knows them. This is in the same general area as the parcel above, maybe we can combine them? Meade mentioned a possible grant from the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA). We can also ask the Trust for Public Lands (TPL) - a friendly holding company with low interest loans.
3. The Build-Out - Mike Steere came to tell us that R1 and R2 are done.
4. Old Lyndeborough Mtn Rd. Project #1 - 76 acres, 46 of which are in Greenfield. It is a problem to build on because the land abuts two Class 6 roads, and the options are to upgrade Old Coach Rd. or put in a bridge.
5. Cavender Rd. Project #1 on and off of Cavender Rd. Has Dick Ober been in touch with them? Janet will e-mail him.
6. Building permits - George gave Janet a handwritten list of Bulding Permits issued over the last ten years.
