Ever hear of the Whing Ding? There is a new kid on the block, which will surely bring you and your family some summer fun! This newer version of the old time Whing Ding concept will be taking place on July 28th from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m at Oak Park in Greenfield., so MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Sponsored by the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department, this JAMboree is to celebrate Greenfield’s contribution to America’s Agriculture, the cultivated high-bush blueberry. There will be something for anyone and everyone, young and old, even lil’ ol’ grandma!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
8 – 10 a.m. Blueberry Pancake Breakfast
Please support your local fire dept by coming out to eat a delicious all you can eat feast! $5.00 adults $ 3.00 10 & under
10 – 11 a.m. Francestown Village Cloggers
Those feet can’t stop tapping to this talented group of kids and adults!
10:30 – 3:00 Concessions
You have many things to choose from, INCLUDING blueberry soup & blueberry ice cream!
11 – 11:30 Roger Swain
Roger “Mr. Victory Garden” Swain will speak about the high bush blueberry and Greenfield’s roll in this agricultural phenomenon! Who would have thought lil’ ol’ Greenfield?
11:30 – 12 Fiddle Players
Here is another talented duo who will provide that ambience while you enjoy walking around seeing all of the exhibitors and crafters.
12 – 1 p.m. The Folk Soul Band
This band is made up of some member of Tattoo as well as other great artist in the area. Sure to be a crowd pleaser!
1 – 1:45 p.m. Announcement & awards of contest winners of the following categories:

1:45 – 2:00p.m. Pie Eating Contest
Hungry? This is the contest for you. Sponsored by the Table Talk Company, you will need to eat as many pies as you can in a set period of time. Do you have what it takes?
2 – 3 p.m. Screamin’ J and the Blueberry Beatniks
Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? We will finish off the day with another great musical bunch!

Sponsored by the Greenfield Elementary PTO, will be happening throughout the day. This will include some good old-fashioned games of yesterday.
FISHING POND GAME
Ever fished for something other than fish? Now’s your chance! Kids, come fishing and see what cool prizes you will get!
PAINT WALL
Now I know Mom told you never to paint or draw on the walls, but with this, it’s A.OK! Come leave your personal message or mark for the day.
CRAFTERS
All sorts of crafters will be on hand to sell their wares. Would you like a table? Please give Jane Winslow a call at 547-2759 to reserve a spot.
FLEA MARKET TABLES
You never know what treasures people are selling. Would you like to have a flea market table? Please call Molly Anfuso at 562-6380 to reserve a spot.
EXIBITORS
Many organizations in town will be exhibiting items and things of interest pertaining to their group.
50/50 RAFFLE
Tickets, $1 each or 6 for $5 will be sold. At 1:45 after the announcement of contest winners, we will draw a ticket. That winner will win half of the jackpot. The other half will go towards the cost of this event. It’s a total WIN WIN!
