BLUEBERRY JAMBOREE MEETING
TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 2012 at 10 AM TOWN OFFICES
Present: Katherine Heck, Carele Mayer, Lenny Cornwell. Agneta Brown and Jane
Winslow
LOGISTICS: Dorene gave her report about the Tee shirts. We have 11 business
advertising on the back. She e-mailed people she hadn’t heard from and got a
better response than phoning. The tee shirt as of now will be Texas orange.
Dorene thinks that the Tee shirts and Place mats will be about $1005.
VENDORS: The applications are starting to come in. The ones that we have
received have been processed by Jane.
ENTERTAINMENT: We talked about balloon hats for the children. The
committee will pay for the balloons. Carele has made some blueberry stickers.
Leslie Vogel and Josh Boisveirt will each get $50. Not sure about the horse show
as yet.
GOAL/MISSION: We discussed putting up a split rail fence between parking lot
and track. Also a sign with Oak Park. We will discuss designs and other ideas at a
later date.
OTHER: Neal contacted the Boy Scouts about trash pickup. Are the Boy Scouts
going to vend food? Girl Scouts contacted Dorene regarding vending something,
possibly. It would be nice to get more groups/people involved on the Blueberry
Jamboree Committee. but how do we do this?
