TEC Meeting with the Library
1/14/2009
Roger Lessard and I attended the energy meeting with the library board tonight.
Roger gave an overall view of what the energy committee is tasked to accomplish. Discussion of what we found, what was done and would be done to the town offices after our efforts at the town offices followed.
A review of oil usage for the library and their costs for the last 8 years was presented.
We were told of the different efforts they had made to help reduce energy costs such as closing down Saturday hours, reducing heat during non opened days.
Ideas for maybe going toward an overall Greenfield heating system for~all~town buildings was mentioned and use of alternative energy systems.
They seemed to welcome our help and looked forward to cooperating in any way they could. We invited them to let us know of any information they found to be possible changes or of interest.
