Attended:       Carol Irvin, Chair; Neal Brown, Ray Cilley
Visitor:        Mitchell Coll

Meeting began at 7:30 p.m.

·       Introductions. Mr. Coll is the president of the Friends of the Wapack.
·       Parking Lot on Mountain Road for the Wapack Trail.  Mr. Coll and his organization have concerns about parking for the Wapack trail during the winter time. He stopped by to see if the Conservation Commission could help in convincing the town to plow the parking lot on Mountain Road during the winter time. Karen said she would talk with the Board of Selectmen about it.
·       Forestry Program. The forestry program is scheduled for October 22nd. Carol will take care of refreshments and Ray will handle the advertising.  The members agreed that all the local conservation commissions should be notified and invited, including those in Hancock, Bennington, Antrim, Francestown, Peterborough, Lyndeborough, and Wilton.  
·       Position of Town Forester. The job description has been completed and Karla has submitted a revised resume. Carol will ask Karla to submit an annual report with her bill
·       CNBRLAC. Janet Renaud reported via email that:  
·       I am pleased to report that our recruiting efforts are bearing fruit and we will be expanding our efforts to include the weed watch program in the spring.~ If you know of any folks in the following towns who might be interested in joining CNBRLAC, please ask them to contact me: Antrim, Boscawen, Concord, Deering, Hillsborough, Hopkinton, Jaffrey, Peterborough, Hancock, or Rindge.  We meet on the third Monday of each month in Bennington at 7:00.~ If you can think of some folks, here’s some general info from DES you can send them:


·       Also, Please let Janet know if the Town has adopted the Contoocook River Management plan.~ If not, I will get it ready to present.
