Conservation Commission
Meeting Minutes
October 30, 2009

Attendees: Roger Lessard, Neal Brown, Carol Irvin, Karen Day

Discussed water conference on November 20-21st. Carol said that Bob Marshall is interested and would drive. She thinks she will go to see what she can learn from it.

Bob Marshall got a good feeling on the grant application that he put in on the water ordinance work to Southwest Planning.

Ann McBride sent an email that they are moving forward with the easement purchase with Bob Jennings. She asked for a copy of the minutes of our last meeting. Carol will get those to them.

Chris Danforth called Carol with a couple of questions for Carol about a wetlands application for Jennifer Fox. Carol hasn’t gotten back to him as yet. This work is in remediation for the wetlands violation at Sunset Lake.

Karen suggested a formal letter be sent to DES about our understanding of this situation and the timeline given to us by Chris Danforth. Neal will do an initial draft for everyone to look at.

We will be doing an easement monitoring walk on Sunday, the 1st at 1pm on Siegar’s property and directly afterward on the Cohan’s easement providing that Carol can get their permission beforehand. Following those we will also monitor the Adam’s easement. We will meet at the town offices at 12:45.

Roger brought up the blueberry bushes for next year’s Blueberry Jamboree. He said that we should order 36 bushes in the spring from Yankee Farmer. We will save some money by ordering them early.
