Conservation Commission Minutes -12-10-03
Minutes of the Greenfield Conservation Commission Meeting
December 10, 2003

Those present: Karen Day, Karla Allen, Neal Brown, Dario Carrara, Ray Cilley, Roger Lessard, George Rainier.

Greg Martus and Paul MulCahey came in to present Minimum Impact Applications for culverts on Driscoll Road. We went over each one with their Wetlands Engineer. This took some time because there were approx. 10? of them.

After they left, there were some questions that came up that we didn’t have answers for.
They were:
Does it make a difference that the road is a class IV town road? (George will get back to us on this.)
Can we sign the applications with provisions such as having an engineer present during the installation of the culverts? (Karen will call DES to find out if this is possible.)

We also talked about the trees that are needed to replace the ones on the common. Ray suggested that the GCC purchase some of them for the town.  George had to leave before this came up so we didn’t get to ask him how many trees are needed. Karla said that she would find out and that there might be land owners that she knows that would donate some trees.

We talked about the signs for the conservation areas in town. Dario said that he is still working on them.

We adjourned at 10:00 pm.
