Meeting Minutes 5/21/2003


Attendees: Karen Day, Roger Lessard, David Voymas, Ray Cilley, Marilyn Fletcher,   
              Darrio

Seigar Easement:
     The approval of the easement was unanimous by the Con. Com., must
       be signed off by selectmen.

Southwest Planning:
       Southwest Planning met with Karen, and Marilyn and the
      Selectmen.  The town has paid for the maps and the maps have a
       due date of June 8th.  Any additional maps that were ordered the                
        money is pending.

Culverts:
       Karen met with Duffy and they reviewed 45 Culverts for next years    
       plan.  Only one of the culvert’s needs a permit.  There were 69
       culverts on last years application.  The culvert application fee will be
       split between the Con. Com. and the Town Highway Dept. Fund.

Seigars Gravel Offer:  
       Seigars have a gravel esker that they have offered to the town free
      if  the town removes the gravel.  The Seigars plan to build on the
                       area the gravel will be removed from.  The property is located in
       the Flood Plain area.  Karen and David have visited the property.

Town Christmas Tree:
       The Christmas Tree in front of town library is looking ill.  It has
                       Been suggested to replace it.  Karla will look at it.  There may be
                       some alternative measures other than replacing the tree.

Oak Park:
                       The Pin Oak tree in Oak Park does need to be   replaced.

Bird Walk:
                       The Bird Walk had a great turnout.  Karen, Roger, Ray, Dario and
                               member’s of his family Judy and Melissa attended the walk.  It was
                               suggested that the Forest Society should be notified of a large  
                               uncapped well on their property.





Open Space Plan:
                        Marylin described in more detail what the planning board is looking
       for on the open space plan.  There were a few suggestions on how to
        get started gathering information.  
A)      A questionnaire with a raffle.
              
                                There are still some questions on requirements of the plan and how it
         is passed.

Planning Boards Updates:
                         Marylin filled us in on some of the projects the planning board is
                         Currently working on.
A)      Ivan Guthery’s Permits
B)       Paul Gibbon’s Property

Timber Cruise:
                          June 21st 8 am Side Tracks
