Conservation Commission Minutes 03/19/03
Greenfield Conservation Commission
Meeting: March 19, 2003

Those present: David Voymas, Karen Day, Roger Lessard, Dario Carrera

Reviewed 2 maps from SWRPC. These are ones that we had requested for the NRI.
Read memo from SWRPC asking for clarification on E-911 data
We are being asked to help clear up a discrepancy with the Fleck Conservation Land. In order to be listed on the MS-1, the land needs to be in C.U.. According to the assessors, town land is exempt and cannot be in C.U. Karen will talk to Deb & Catherine about which it is and will find out the status of this land.
Read letter from DES about local water supply protection program. Assistance is available: financial and technical. Deciphered report of potential water contaminants.
NH Fish & Game let us know that five dollars of every Conservation Plate purchased goes to the Nongame and Endangered Wildlife Program and has funded the Tern Restoration Project, the Cornish Batshed, the Pine Marten Restoration Project, the Karner Blue Butterfly Captive Rearing program, the Schoolyard Habitat Project, and the New England Cottontail Research program.
Received dues invoice from NHACC. Dues have gone up. David will see that Catherine gets this for payment.
Dario Carrera volunteered to be Vice-Chairman.
Karen recounted what went on at Planning Board Meeting. Greenfield has been selected for Smart Growth Program. Town was selected because of Planning Board’s good work. Next meeting will be April 14th. SWRPC will announce results of their study of our master plan and zoning laws then according to Smart Growth principles.
Dario asked for update on recent GCC activity. He is still working on the signs. We decided to table the computer and software for right now.
Dario offered to donate a computer table. We discussed how to secure the computer. Dario proposed sharing the computer with the Planning and Zoning Boards.

Respectfully submitted
Roger Lessard
