Minutes of the Conservation Commission

Present: Carl Ingelstrom, Nancy Mattesen, Ray Cilley, Karen Day, Roger Lessard, Ted Bonner; Planning Board members George Rainier and John Hopkins
Minutes of the meeting on November 17 were approved.
Michael Blair from the Southwest Region Planning Commission gave a presentation on the GIS (Geographic Information System) and explained the services and types of mapping available from the Commission.
Denise Fox from the Greenfield Trails Association requested a letter of support from the Conservation Commission to be submitted with their grant proposal to obtain funds for the construction of a bridge over the beaver dam on Pine Ridge Road. Members will visit the site prior to making an endorsement.
A motion was made to use funds from the miscellaneous category to meet additional costs of purchasing lake monitoring equipment (now estimated at $450.) Members voted to table this motion.
A motion was approved to purchase maps from the Southwest Region Planning Commission (initially a base map and a water features map) using NRI and Miscellaneous funds.
