Board of Cemetery Trustees/Board of Trustees of Trust Funds meeting minutes

PRESENT: ~Gil Bliss; Margo Charig Bliss; Jan Moller; Merrill Villmore, sexton
1. The board voted to approve an investment policy for this year – voting to maintain the current practice of investing in certificates of deposit at the People’s United Bank and the New Hampshire Public Deposit Investment Pool, but will explore additional options this year as the economy improves.
2. A discussion was held with sexton Merrill Villmore relative to plantings at Greenville Cemetery in the past year as well as the completion of the water project.
3. The board voted to close Old Meeting House Cemetery for new burials, just in case that action had not been taken in the past. The board discussed replacing the fence around the cemetery, having measured it in December. Fundraising for a new fence is planned in addition to seeking funding at town meeting. Merrill Villmore will develop a graphic depicting the fence perimeter and proposed new landscaping to be presented at town meeting.
4. Fundraising assignments were discussed in anticipation of the fence project. Gil Bliss will work on a warrant article for this year’s meeting along with the Town Administrator.
5. The meeting was adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
