AMENDED REPORT OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
GORHAM TOWN COUNCIL
January 17, 2006
Chairman Phinney opened the meeting at 7:00 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Present: Chairman Phinney; Councilors Dugas, Justice, Willett, Loveitt, & Hamblen, and Town Manager, David Cole
Absent: Councilor Robinson
Item # 7222 Moved by Councilor Loveitt, seconded by Councilor Justice, and ORDERED that the Town Council of the Town of Gorham, Maine, in Town Council assembled refer a request to rezone a parcel of land (tax map 32, lot 13) on lower Main Street from Roadside Commercial to Industrial to the Planning Board for public hearing and their recommendation. 6 yeas.
Moved by Councilor Justice, seconded by Councilor Dugas, and VOTED to waive the rules and take up two items not on the agenda. 6 yeas.
Moved by Councilor Justice, seconded by Councilor Dugas, and ORDERED that the Town Council of the Town of Gorham, Maine, in Town Council assembled appoint Councilor Loveitt as the Town Council’s representative to the White Rock Project Committee. 6 yeas.
The Town Council recessed to a workshop to discuss goals. After the workshop, the meeting resumed.
Moved by Councilor Justice, seconded by Councilor Dugas, and ORDERED that the Town Council of the Town of Gorham, Maine, in Town Council assembled go into executive session pursuant to Title 1, M.R.S.A, Section 405 (6)(c) to deliberate on an economic development matter. 6 yeas.
Moved by Councilor Justice, seconded by Councilor Dugas, and ORDERED that the Town Council of the Town of Gorham, Maine, in Town Council assembled to come out of executive session. 6 yeas.
Moved by Councilor Dugas, seconded by Councilor Justice, and ORDERED that the Town Council of the Town of Gorham, Maine, in Town Council assembled to adjourn at approximately 8:30 pm.
