REPORT OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF GORHAM TOWN COUNCIL
April 8, 2003
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Roll Call of Council: Present: Chairman Phinney; Councilors Hamblen, Justice, Loveitt, Dugas, Willett and Robinson; David Cole, the Town Manager and Brenda Caldwell, the Town Clerk
Item #6787. The order, as read aloud by the Clerk, was moved by Councilor Dugas and seconded by Councilor Robinson. Moved by Councilor Hamblen, seconded by Councilor Loveitt and VOTED to amend the proposed order by striking "ordinance committee" and substituting "Planning Board". 7 yeas.
The order, as amended, was then VOTED resulting in the following:
ORDERED that the Town Council refer a request from Tom Greer, representing Mr. Hans Hansen, to discontinue an expired contract zone for Brookdale Subdivision and rezone the parcel to the Rural District, to the Planning Board for their review and recommendation. 7 yeas.
Item #6788. Moved by Councilor Justice, seconded by Councilor Dugas and ORDERED that the Town Council authorize the Town Manager to initiate the review of and develop a plan for the collection of commercial waste, and to provide said plan for Town Council consideration as soon as possible. 7 yeas.
Item #6789. Moved by Councilor Robinson, seconded by Councilor Loveitt and ORDERED that the Town Council ask the Finance Committee to review requests for funding for Social Service Agencies for the proposed budget and report their recommendation to the Town Council. 7 yeas
Moved by Councilor Willett, seconded by Councilor Robinson and VOTED to adjourn. 7 yeas. Time of adjournment
