AUGUST 21, 2003
MEETING MINUTES


The Gorham Board of Appeals regular meeting was held August 21, 2003 at the Gorham High School Auditorium.
Present; Chairman, Mark Stelmack Board Members: Joe Gwozdz, David McCullough (arrived at 7:10), Clinton Pearson and Stephen Scontras.  Code Enforcement Officer, Clint Cushman and the Deputy Town Clerk, Jennifer Elliott.
Absent; Board members Audrey Gerry and James Pellerin.

Moved, Seconded and VOTED to accept the July 17, 2003 meeting minutes as printed and distributed.  4 Yeas.

Appeal # 03-163.  The appeal of John & Allie Rimkunas/M & M Industries, requesting a permit to expand a nonconforming structure, namely to convert a single story, single family dwelling to a 2 story building that would remain a single family dwelling on property they own at 413 Mosher Road (Map 32, Lot 25) which is in the Commercial District.   John and Allie Rimkunas appeared on their own behalf and explained that they want to expand the space by adding a full dormer and reconstructing the roof pitch.  It would have 3 bedrooms and a new bath.   The septic system had been upgraded in 1997 to accommodate a 3 bedroom home.  In response from the Board they checked the blueprints and building height, which fell within the guidelines.
There was no public comment and the hearing was closed.
The board reviewed the special exception criteria.
Moved, Seconded and VOTED to approve the appeal. 5 Yeas.
The finding of facts as read aloud by the Code Enforcement Officer were Moved, Seconded and Voted.  5 Yeas.

Moved, Seconded and VOTED to adjourn. 5 Yeas.
Time of adjournment 7:15pm.
