ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

        The Town of Glenville Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302-4518 to hear all persons interested in the following applications.

        Application of Brian & Tami Pitt, 17 Wellington Road, Glenville, NY  12302 for Two Area Variances that will allow for the construction of a new 34' x 48' (1,632 s/f) addition to an existing 24' x 24' (576 s/f) detached garage.  The total size of the detached garage, if approved, would be 2,208 s/f. Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 29.16-1-3.1.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville the following variances are requested:
270-9 (G)(4): Footprint of all accessory structures may not exceed 75% of the footprint of the dwelling.  The applicant is seeking a variance to exceed the maximum footprint by 166 s/f.
270-9 (G)(2): An accessory structure may not exceed 576 s/f in size.  The applicant is seeking a variance to exceed the maximum square footage permitted by 1,632 s/f.

        Appeal of a decision made by the Building Inspector by Edward Wierzbowski, Partner, Meridian Container Company LLC and VP, Meridian Construction Company of Scotia, Inc.  The Building Inspector has determined that the previous use and the proposed use of the property at 92 Saratoga Road as a contractor's office is not a legal non-conforming use.   Said property is located in a Professional Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 22.18-2-43.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-147 (D)(1): Following the denial of a building permit application or certificate of occupancy in which an individual or corporation disputes the Building Inspector's reading or interpretation of any provisions of this chapter the individual or corporation can appeal said decision or interpretation in writing to the ZBA.

        Application of Mohawk Honda for 5 Area Variances related to a proposed 2,290 s/f collision center and new car storage facility at 25 Saratoga Road and the vacant lot immediately adjacent to the north.  Said property is located in a General Business Zoning District and is identified on tax maps 30.6-1-11.1 and 30.6-1-111.2.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville the following variances are requested:
270-73 (C)(4):  A nonresidential parking lot may not be located any closer than 40 feet to the property line of a single or two family dwelling.  The applicant is seeking a variance of 10' for the side lot line to the north.
270-73 (B)(2):  A minimum of 24' between aisles is required.  The applicant is seeking a variance of 2 aisles in the area where new vehicles will be parked for storage.
270-141 (C)(2):  1 interior landscape island is required for every 10 parking spaces.  15 landscape islands are required.  The applicant is seeking a variance of 11 landscape islands.
270-141 (C)(3):  Curb stops are required for each parking space to prevent vehicle intrusion into landscape areas.  The applicant is seeking a variance for the 36 parking space along the north and west lot lines.
270 (parking schedule):  The maximum number of parking spaces permitted is 48.  The applicant is seeking a variance to exceed that amount by 88 spaces.
