ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS


        PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302-4518 on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 7 p.m. to hear all persons interested in the following applications as provided for by the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Glenville.

        Application of David and Lisa Ferretti, 128 Van Buren Road, Glenville, NY  12302 for an Area Variance that will permit the construction of a new 13’ x 13’ deck attached to the rear of the dwelling.  The proposed deck would be located 15’ from the rear lot line at it’s closest point.  Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map: 22.6-5-30.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-7 (D) Yard requirements for attached accessory structures.  All accessory structures that are attached to the principal building (i.e. attached garages, attached covered patios, etc) shall comply with the yard setback requirements of the principal building.  In the Suburban Residential Zoning District the minimum rear yard setback is 35 feet.  Therefore the applicant is seeking a rear yard setback variance of 20 feet.

        Application of Mark and Pamela Volk, 3 Drott Drive, Glenville, NY 12302 for an Area Variance that will permit the construction of a 16’ x 30’ carport attached to the north side of the dwelling.  The proposed carport would be located 5’ from the side lot line.  Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 16.9-1-1.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-7 (D) Yard requirements for attached accessory structures.  All accessory structures that are attached to the principal building (i.e. attached garages, attached covered patios, etc) shall comply with the yard setback requirements of the principal building.  In the Suburban Residential Zoning District the minimum side yard setback is 15 feet.  Therefore the applicant is seeking a rear yard setback variance of 10 feet.
