TOWN OF GLENVILLE
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302-4518 on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 7 p.m. to hear all persons interested in the following applications as provided for by the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Glenville.
Application of Mildred Gordon, 603 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY 12302 for a Use Variance that would allow the construction of a 22' x 22' (484 s/f) residential addition to an existing legal non-conforming single family dwelling. Said property is located in a General Business zoning district and is identified on tax map 16.5-3-6.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-97 Expansion of non-conforming use. Non-conforming buildings and uses cannot be expanded or in any way enlarged. Therefore, the applicant is seeking a use variance for total relief from this section of the Code.
Application of James & Dawn Edgar, 1002 Cherokee Road, Glenville, NY 12302 for an Area Variance that would allow for a 6' high fence in the front yard of Swaggertown Road. Said property is located on the corner of Cherokee and Swaggertown Roads in a Suburban Residential zoning district and is identified on tax map 30.5-2-16.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-52, B, 2 Fences on residential properties will not exceed four feet in height in the front yard. Therefore, the applicants are seeking a 2' high variance for the fence.
