ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302-4518 on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 7 p.m. to hear all persons interested in the following applications as provided for by the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Glenville.
Application of David & Pamela Petralia, 501 Orlinda Ave., Glenville, NY 12302 for two Area Variances that would permit the installation of a new inground swimming pool 5' 9" from the southern side lot line and 9' from the existing dwelling. Said property is located on the southwest corner of Orlinda and Pleasantview Avenues. The property is zoned Suburban Residential and is identified on tax map 38.11-4-35.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-3: An accessory structure must be located at least 10 feet from the principal building; therefore the applicant is seeking a variance of 1' to the dwelling. And 270-9, E: All swimming pools and their associated equipment and structures must be located at least 10 feet from the side and rear property lines; therefore the applicant is seeking a variance of 4'3" from the side lot line.
Application of Ryan & Brooke Cullinan, 1 St. Jude Court, Glenville, NY 12302 for one Area Variance that would permit the installation of a 6' high fence of a front yard. The property is located on a corner lot and therefore has two font yards. The fence is proposed to extend into the front yard of St. Jude Lane. Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 22.12-2-1.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-52, B (2): Fences on residential properties will not exceed four feet in height in the front yard, including along side lot lines to the front of the front plane of the dwelling. Therefore, the applicant is seeking a variance of 2' in height for the fence.
Application of Shawn Weaver, Foods & Frostings, Glenridge Plaza, 15 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302 for one Sign Variance that will permit for 1 additional facade sign. This will result in a total of three signs for this business. Said property is located in the General Business and Town Center Overlay Districts and is identified on tax map 22.-1-3.12.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-133, I, 5, i: A maximum of one facade sign per use is permitted. Therefore the applicant is seeking a variance to allow for one additional facade sign.
