TOWN OF GLENVILLE
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS


        PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302-4518 on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 7 p.m. to hear all persons interested in the following applications as provided for by the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Glenville.

        Application of David Rockefeller, 149 Willow Lane, Glenville, NY  12302 for an Area Variance  that will allow for a 6' high wooden stockade fence to be located in the front yard.  The property is located on the corner of Willow and Alder Lanes and therefore has two front yards.  The fence has already been placed along the Alder Lane lot line.   Said property is located in a Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 16.17-1-1
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-52. B. (2) Fences in residential zoning districts shall not exceed 4' in height in any front yard.  Therefore the applicant is seeking a 2' variance for the height of the fence.


        Application of Olson Signs & Graphics on behalf of Mohawk Honda for Two Sign Variances at 175 Freemans Bridge Road, Glenville, NY  12302.  The applicant is proposing to install four wall signs that will be internally illuminated and made from plastic materials.  These variances are in addition the sign variances considered at the December 2009 ZBA meeting.  Said property is located in a General Business Zoning District and is identified on tax map 30.10-2-12.1
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-134, C. 6. b. 3. a: Materials.  Plastic materials are only permitted on the sign frame and/or the light housing.  AND 270-134, C. 6. b. 6: Illumination.  Sign lighting should minimize glare and maintain the aesthetic character of the area.  Therefore, signs may not be internally lit.

Application of Richard J. DiCresce Jr., for a Conditional Use Permit that will allow for the construction of a new 60' x 40' (2,400 s/f) building to be used for an auto inspection facility located at 178 Freemans Bridge Road, Glenville, NY  12302.
