Application of Robert P. Bosy, 770 Sacandaga Road, Glenville, NY 12302 for an Area Variance to allow for the construction of two two-story 8-unit apartments buildings located at addressStreet211 Sacandaga Road, CityGlenville, StateNY PostalCode12302 (NW corner of addressStreetBurch Pkwy and addressStreetSacandaga Rd). The proposed buildings would be located on a 1.42 vacant parcel of land 15’ from the rear lot line. The applicant also proposes to locate a dumpster approximately 6’ from the rear property lone. Said property is located in a General Business zoning district and is identified on tax map 29.15-4-2.1.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville §270-44(A)(2) – A minimum lot size of three acres is required for all multifamily developments and §270-44(A)(6) – No building or structure will be located closer than 40 feet to any side or rear property line and §270-9(G) Setbacks for nonresidential accessory structures shall be located any closer than 10 feet to any side or rear property line.
Application of Ingrid Rund, 1591 Touareuna Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010 for an Area Variance to allow for the construction of a 12’ x 24’ accessory structure at 1978 Touareuna Road. Although the structure is considered an accessory structure to an existing permitted use, it would be classified as a second garage due to the size. Said property is located on tax map 3.-1-17.2 and is located in the Rural Residential/Agricultural Zoning District.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of placeCityGlenville §270-9(A)(1) Only one garage (attached or detached) is permitted per residential lot and it shall be limited to three stalls.
Application of Harry C. Holck, Jr., 128 Spring Road, placeCityGlenville, StateNY PostalCode12302 for an Area Variance to allow for the construction of a 24’ x 28’ detached garage. An attached garage exists; therefore, the proposed structure would be the second garage on the property. Said property is located on tax map 21.2-3-1 and is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of placeCityGlenville §270-9(A)(1) Only one garage (attached or detached) is permitted per residential lot and it shall be limited to three stalls.
Application of NYSARC, Inc., 14 Jane Drive, Glenville, NY 12302 for an Area Variance that will allow for the installation of a stockade fence 6’ in height in the front yard of Marjon Avenue. The property is considered a thru-street with frontage on both addressStreetJane Drive and addressStreetMarjon Avenue. Said property is identified on tax map 16.13-3-14 and is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of placeCityGlenville §270-52(B)(2) Fences on residential properties will not exceed four feet in height in the front yard.
