ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS


        PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302-4518 on Monday July 23, 2007 at
7 p.m. to hear all persons interested in the following applications as provided for by the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Glenville.

Application of Fogg’s Automotive & Suzuki, John Fogg, 642 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY  12302 for a Conditional Use Permit that will allow for the construction of two additions onto his existing auto sales and service building.   A 1,500 sq. ft. addition on the front would include a new car showroom and a 1,200 sq. ft. addition on the rear would be used for storage.  Said property is located in a General Business Zoning District and is identified on tax map
16.5-1-1.1.
In accordance with the Town of Glenville Zoning Ordinance §270-126 – Expansion of Conditional Use.  Any expansion or alteration of a conditional use is subject to the review procedures outlined in this article.

Application of Betty M. Remus, 820 Sacandaga Road, Glenville, NY  12302 for an Area Variance to allow for the construction of a new single family dwelling located 50 feet from the front lot line.   Said property is located in a Rural Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 8.4-1-19.
In accordance with the Town of Glenville Zoning Ordinance §270 Attachment 1 – the minimum front yard setback in the Rural Residential Zoning District is 75 feet.

Application of Charles A. Tamasi, 8 Crestwood Drive, Clifton Park, NY  12065 for an Area Variance that would allow for a lot line adjustment reducing an already substandard sized vacant lot on the corners of York Place, York Road, and Surrey Road.  This lot line adjustment is necessary to allow for construction of an addition to the existing dwelling located at 6 York Road, Glenville, NY 12302.  The vacant lot would be reduced from 27,989 sq. ft. to
26,161 sq. ft.  Said property is located in a Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 22.7-5-13.
In accordance with the Town of Glenville Zoning Ordinance §270-97 – No nonconforming building or use can be changed to other than a conforming use for the zoning district in which it is situated.

Application of Denis Ryder, 1013 Baker Road, Ballston Spa, NY  12020 for an Area Variance that would allow for the construction of a 20’ x 20’ two story addition to the dwelling located at 304 Butterfield Avenue, Alplaus, NY 12008 10 feet from the easterly side lot line.  Said property is located in a Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 23.18-3-26.
In accordance with the Town of Glenville Zoning Ordinance §270 Attachment 1 – The minimum side yard setback in the Suburban Residential Zoning District is 15 feet.

Application of Bruce D. Auspelmyer, 166 Wolf Hollow Road, Glenville, NY  12302 for an Area Variance that would allow for the construction of an attached garage 5 feet from the side lot line.  Said property is located in a Rural Residential Agricultural Zoning District and is identified on tax map 12.1-2-7.
In accordance with the Town of Glenville Zoning Ordinance §270 Attachment 1 – The minimum side yard setback in the Rural Residential Zoning District is 50 feet.

Application of Peter & Diane Palmier, 1068 Sacandaga Road, Glenville, NY 12302 for an Area Variance that will permit three temporary storage units/accessory structures to remain in the front yard.  Said property is located in a Rural Residential Agricultural Zoning District and is identified on tax map 4.4-1-19.11.
In accordance with the Town of Glenville Zoning Ordinance §270-9 – No permitted accessory use or building shall be located in any front yard.
