Snow Emergency Declared for February 7, 2018
MESSAGE FROM TOWN SUPERVISOR CHRIS KOETZLE

Glenville Declares Snow Emergency

Recent forecasts indicate that we should expect significant snow accumulation throughout the day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Some models have projected accumulations of between 1 and 2 inches per hour at certain times during this storm. This will have obvious impacts on driving conditions.

Residents should be prepared for potentially difficult travel and should plan accordingly. Further, as a reminder under town code, there is no overnight parking on Glenville roads between October and May. This is important because it helps our Highway Department remove snow and ice quickly and efficiently and allows for emergency services to better respond to calls. Cars parked in the road are a danger and prevent proper clearing of those roads.

Therefore, effective Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 10 AM until further notice, I have declared a snow emergency throughout the town of Glenville. This means that we ask that you limit your travel and all on-street parking is prohibited until further notice. If your car is parked on the road during the snow emergency - at any time of day - you may be ticked and/or towed.

Please check the town's website, townofglenville.org for the most up-to-date information.
