REMINDER -- 2017 BULK PICKUP PROGRAM TO BEGIN 4/24/17
The Town of Glenville, in partnership with County Waste, announces the town-wide bulk waste pick up for all residents of the Town of Glenville, and outside of the Village of Scotia. One pass through town will be made, no exceptions. Residents are asked to place bulk items at the curb or along the edge of their property by 7:00 pm on Sunday, April 23, 2017. There is no daily schedule by street so residents are asked to be patient with the collection process. Maximum pile size per household must not exceed 4’x8’x4’.
Examples of acceptable items include: Sofa, love seats, recliners, tables, chairs, mattress, box spring, rugs/carpets (4’ or less, must be rolled), patio furniture, washer, dryer, hot water tanks, stove, dishwasher, grills, sinks, toilets, cabinets, doors, screens, bicycles, lawn mowers, weedeaters/trimmers, automotive parts (small parts, no oil or gas), small household repair materials, small metal sheds
Examples of unacceptable items include: Appliances with freon (Refrigerators, Freezers & Air Conditioners); glass doors, windows, hot tubs & tubs, riding mowers, televisions, computers, fluorescent bulbs, motor oil, tree stumps, logs, yard waste, tires, paints, stains, sealers, household chemicals, aerosol cans, gas cans, propane tanks, decks, boats, wood sheds, loose trash or garbage, demolition material or electronics. All metal items must be placed in a separate pile from the items above. Metal items such as pipes, etc. can be no longer than 6’.
