On 10-27-16 The Town of Glenville Police responded to a one vehicle property damage auto accident which severed a National Grid pole, knocking down another pole and placing live wires on the ground in the area of 81 Maple Avenue. National Grid and Emergency crews are currently on scene and working to correct this issue.
Currently a road closures exist on Maple Avenue at Freemans Bridge Rd and at Maple Avenue at Alplaus Avenue with local traffic only.
It is not estimated that National Grid will be able to correct this problem until sometime on 10-28-16. It is anticipated that the road closure will be continued into at least the afternoon so crews can repair damage to the road caused by the power lines. We advise all traffic to seek alternative routes. Limited local power outages are reported from this incident.
