Night Paving - Route 50 between Cuthbert Street and Heckler Road, and Glenridge Road between Route 50 and Maple Avenue
Town of Glenville and Village of Scotia, Schenectady County
Pleased be advised that work on the above-referenced project is scheduled to start on Monday, July 25. (Equipment and materials may be mobilized to the work area on Friday the 22nd, but construction will not start until the 25th.) This work will include pavement and drainage structure repairs, traffic signal loop replacements and end-to end repaving operations.
In the interest of minimizing traffic impacts and the potential for travelers to elect to take alternate routes through nearby residential areas, we will progress this work between 7 PM and 7 AM, Mondays through Fridays (that is, the last night of the work week will be the Friday-into-Saturday overnight). In addition, isolated daytime single-lane closures may be necessary during concrete pours.
During the overnight construction periods there will be alternating one-way traffic controlled by flagpersons on the two-lane sections of Route 50 and Glenridge Road. Lane reductions will be used on the four-lane section of Route 50. We expect that this work will take six weeks to complete. Throughout construction, all properties in the area will remain accessible to residents, emergency responders and delivery vehicles.
Please note that we will also notify residents living along or near the area of this work prior to the start date.
We will be sure to advise you if the pace of progress necessitates any significant changes to the timetable for this project.
