In order to construct a portion of the new Roundabout at the south end of the Rexford Bridge Project, we will be enacting a full closure of Route 146 (Balltown Road) for a short distance south the Aqueduct Road intersection. This closure will include both the eastbound and westbound directions. The closure will begin at 9:00 PM on Friday July 15th and must end prior to 6:00 AM on Monday July 18th. The Rexford Bridge and Aqueduct Road will remain open during this closure period.
Although the actual closed section of Route 146 will be relatively short, the signed detour will be Aqueduct Road to Van Vranken Avenue to Nott Street to Balltown Road, or reverse. The detour route will be clearly signed. While we are allowed to keep the road closed until Monday morning, our goal will be to have the road back open to full traffic sometime during the day on Sunday.
