Dog Park Update – February 2016
The Glenville Dog Park at the corner of Van Buren and Swaggertown Roads is undergoing final development in anticipation of an April opening. While some regulations will need to be adopted by town ordinance, the following details are certain:
-Annual permitting will occur to ensure dogs are registered and have the necessary inoculations.
-A large dog and a small dog area will be provided.
-Owners will be given a brightly colored tag for their dog to wear while in the dog park.
-Dogs may be off leash inside the fenced areas of the dog park.
-A waste station with bags will be provided to clean up after the dogs.
-Bench installation, water service (human and dog) and further landscaping will occur prior to opening.
Further announcements will be made on the town website and in print media in the near future.
