Minutes from the December 27, 2016_________ Meeting were reviewed and approved with no adjustments.

Meeting Motions / Actions and Summary of Discussions:
An update of the Georgetown Senior Community Center noted that interior doors will soon be hung with their hardware.  The electrician still needs to install lights in the hallway of the Confidential Meeting Rooms as well as in one of the meeting rooms.  One of the urinals in the Men’s Room still needs to be raised.  A key fob system still needs to be installed as part of the front and rear doors. The COA will tour the new Senior Center following the meeting. The FY 18 budget will be presented to the Finance Committee on Sat. Feb. 25, 8 a.m. The budget includes additional hours for the Administrative Assistant and Outreach Worker to provide adequate coverage at the Senior Center.  The Senior Center is seeking volunteer receptionists. An 8-week Tai Chi Class will begin Thurs. March 2. Strength Training will not meet on Thursdays but will continue on Tuesdays. The new food pantry has already received food donations.  The Walking Program is ready to begin.  The Fire Dept. plans to continue the Lock Box/Smoke Detector Program with a new grant for 2017. The state Formula Grant has not yet arrived. The prorated cost of the new custodian has been paid. Funds encumbered from FY16 to pay for a portion of the exercise equipment have been used to pay the bill from Nordic Trak with money from FY17.  The second quarter of rent through December has been paid to First Congregational Church.  The COA will pay rent to the church for January and February. Board members approved the Treasurer’s Report with a motion by Jill Benas and a second by Diane Prescott. In a motion by Esther Palardy with a second by Carol Sheehan, board members approved the Director’s Report.
