Minutes from the August 30, 2016_________ Meeting were reviewed and approved with one adjustment.

Meeting Motions / Actions and Summary of Discussions:
An update of the Georgetown Senior Community Center noted that carpentry students from Whittier Regional Technical High School have returned and are completing stud work as well as one side of the sheet rock on the new walls.  General Contractor Ambient Technology has opened the exterior wall and installed the new entranceway door. The handicap door opener still needs to be installed. Along with rough wiring, the installation of heating, ventilation and cooling systems will soon be complete. The Georgetown School Committee has approved the proposal that staff from the Georgetown School Facilities Department work overtime on evenings and weekends to assist with the project. They will be compensated for their work through the building project’s budget.  Weekly construction meetings will be held until the project is complete. The walking and intergenerational reading programs held at Penn Brook School are on hold until after the completion of the new Senior Center.  Colleen has submitted a $450 application to the Georgetown Cultural Council for a series of four musical programs next year.  Delvena Theater will submit a separate application for a theater production next year.  As the First Congregational Church prepares for the annual church fair, the COA meal and activity site will be closed the week of Oct. 17.  A SHINE Forum will be held at Town Hall on Mon. Octo. 17 and yoga classes will be held at the Perley School that week.  The Flu clinic will be held Wed. Nov. 2 at the First Congregational Church.  The Yoga class will meet at the Perley School on that day as well.  Colleen will attend the MCOA Conference in Falmouth on Oct. 26-28.  In a motion by Carol Sheehan with a second by Nancy Thompson, board members approved the Town’s Annual Report. Board members approved the Treasurer’s Report with a motion by Sue Clay and a second by Carol Sheehan. The contract for the state’s Formula Grant is not available yet but the Town is allowed to spend the money planned for the grant. Board members approved the Director’s Report with a motion by Janice Downey and a second by Carol Sheehan.  Both motions passed unanimously.
