Meeting Motions / Actions and Summary of Discussions:
An update of the Georgetown Senior Community Center included a report that Colleen has purchased 20 more chairs with arms as well as additional housewares needed to furnish the kitchen. Funds for the purchase of two treadmilss and two exercycles have been encumbered from the FY16 budget. The equipment will be purchased, delivered and installed as the Senior Center is complete. All building permits are in place and air conditioning equipment has been delivered. Colleen will meet with Superintendent Carol Jacobs to discuss scheduling needs for shared spaces at the school. With a motion by Board Member Esther Palardy and a second by Sue Clay, board members unanimously approved the following slate of offices: Chair, Jeannine DesJardins, Vice Chair Claire Maimone, Treasurer Carol Sheehan and Secretary
Jean Perley. Colleen explained a proposal by Salvation Army that would partner with the Town to offer residents emergency assistance is currently on hold, waiting for more information from the Town Administrator’s office. Colleen will be on vacation the first two weeks of July and the third week of August. The Council on Aging will not meet in July. Board members approved the Treasurer’s Report with a motion by Sue Clay and a second by Diane Prescott. Board members approved the Director’s Report with a motion by Sue Clay and a second by Diane Prescott. Both motions passed unanimously.
