The meeting was called to order at:   __12:15 p.m.___________________
Minutes from the March 22, 2016_________ Meeting were reviewed and approved with _three___ adjustments.

Meeting Motions / Actions and Summary of Discussions:
An update of the Georgetown Senior Community Center included a report that students from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School spent three weeks working on demolition of ceilings and framing in two of the five classrooms at the Perley School that will be a portion of the new Georgetown Senior Community Center.  It is anticipated that they will return to complete some additional work this spring and then return in the fall to complete additional carpentry work. General Contractor .Ambient Temperature Corp. of Newburyport will work around the students’ work. The Community Preservation Committee has recommended $125,000 of the requested $175,000 needed to complete the project.  The Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee have recommended a transfer of $50,000 from the Town’s Stabilization Account to cover the remaining portion of the project.  Voters at the May 2 Special Town Meeting will act on the proposed transfer from the Stabilization account, followed by a vote on the Community Preservation Committee’s recommendation at the May 2 Annual Town Meeting. Board members welcomed new alternate board member Janice Downey to the COA. Board members Esther Palardy and Diane Prescott were elected to serve as the COA Nominating Committee. They will present a slate officers at the May meeting.  Officers will be elected at the June meeting.  Board member Nancy Thompson moved the Nominating Committee with a second by Carol Sheehan.  The motion passed unanimously. Board members approved the Treasurer’s Report with a motion by Claire Maimone and a second by Esther Palardy. Board members approved the Director’s Report with a motion by Claire Maimone and a second by Esther Palardy.  Both motions passed unanimously.
