Meeting Motions / Actions and Summary of Discussions:
An update of the Georgetown Senior Community Center included the receipt of four bids from electrical subcontractors. Bids for the General Contract work will be opened on Feb. 24. Students from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School are scheduled to begin carpentry work this month. Along with other Town Departments, the COA will meet with the Finance Committee on Sat. Feb. 27 to review the COA’s proposed Operational Budget of $133,961 for FY17, along with a proposed spending plan for the next three years. The budget includes an increase in hours for current staff as well as money for maintenance of the new Senior Center, rent for the current location through the fall and some furnishings for the new center. The town has received the FY16 state EOEA Formula Grant. First Congregational Church
will be closed the week of March 20 for Holy Week. The congregate meal site will be closed that week. Yoga classes will be held at the Perley School gymnasium and library that week. Elder Law appointments and the COA will meet at Town Hall Tuesday March 22.
