Meeting Motions / Actions and Summary of Discussions:
The School Committee has approved and signed the Memorandum of Agreement that will allow a portion of the Perley School to be used by the COA as a Senior Center facility. The agreement continues until June 30, 2019 with automatic renewal for two additional three-year terms. The agreement will be reviewed no later than January 15, 2019. Colleen and Town Administrator Michael Farrell met with the Community Preservation Committee on January 19 to discuss an application for $150,000 in Community Preservation money to help fund the remainder of the project. If approved at May’s annual Town Meeting, the CPC money would be available July 1, 2016. Bids for subcontractors for the project are ready for posting. Along with other Town Departments, the COA will meet with the Finance Committee on Sat. Feb. 27
to review the COA’s proposed Operational Budget of $133,961 for FY17, along with the a spending plan for the next three years.
