MINUTES OF GEORGETOWN COA
Tuesday, December 27, 2011
The Board of the Georgetown COA met Tuesday, December 27, 2011. The Board was called to order at 12:09 p.m. by Chairwoman Claire Maimone.
Present were: Chandler Noyes, Corona Magner, Dianne Prescott, Jean Perley, Jeannine DesJardins, Claire Maimone, Barbara Miller, Cynthia Tardif and Director Colleen Ranshaw Fiorello.
Secretary’s Report for Tuesday November 22, 2011 was accepted as read.
Old Business:
- The Van funded by the state Department of Transportation Mobility Assistance Program has arrived and will be shared by Georgetown and Merrimac. A ceremony in Merrimac was held to celebrate the occasion. Georgetown will use the Van on Tuesdays and Thursdays while Merrimac will use the van on Mondays and Wednesdays. The Van will be kept at the Georgetown Police Station.
New Business:
- The FY 13 Budget plan and schedule was presented by Colleen. A Level Funded Budget of $82,124 and a Level Service Budget of $87,295 were prepared as requested by the Town Administrator and Finance Committee. The Council on Aging recommended both budget plans. The Budget will be presented to the Finance Committee on Wednesday Feb. 15, 2012.
Treasurer’s Report:
- Colleen presented the Treasurer’s Report explaining the spending in December. The Report was accepted as read.
Director’s Report was read and discussed:
- Statistics for November 2011 were presented: General Information Services, Case Management, Home Visits, Reassurance Calls, Medical Equipment, Newsletters mailed, NEET, Congregate Meals, Elder Brown Bag, Van Service, Social Events, Cultural Events, Health Screening, Health Education, Classes.
