Discussion took place regarding the hopes that the AHT and the AHTF can work together towards a common goal utilizing also the planning department and CPC.
Chas informed us about the meeting with CPC to discuss the project suggestion in the Trust’s efforts to obtain monies from the CPC. That meeting is scheduled for Feb 9th. Talk took place as to what goals could be set and how to achieve them.
Some of the goals could be requesting funding for an Affordable Housing Production Plan (Housing Needs Assessment).
Acquiring some funds though a Spring Town Meeting vote as seed money to get the trust established and able to work on some of the recommendations that will be outlined in that future plan.
No formal action taken this was an information gathering meeting.
It was decided to post our next meeting 3-Feb-10 @ 7:00pm.
Tim G made a motion to accept the minutes of 9-Dec-09 as amended [date correction] (David S 2nd) Vote 3-0.
Action Items:
- Chas to generate 1 to 2 page bullet points regarding the trusts powers/duties
- David S to get with Town manager regarding competitive bid requirements for the Housing Production Plan
- David S to check with K&P or DHCD attorneys regarding some deed riders
- Tim G. to check with Salisbury, MA and town planner as to companies qualified to do a housing needs assessment
David S. made a motion to adjourn 8:04pm (Tim 2nd) Vote 3-0 in favor.
