Approve Minutes: Approve minutes from May 14th.

Summer Activities:

Sweet Pea Parade:  Yes, let's participate. Patti suggested contacting the new person in charge of Safe Kids, Safe Communities (Ginny) and doing a float together:  587-7786.ticipate in the preparation of a legislative report card re: DUI issues.

County Fair: Jenna called Warren Heibert about helping with the Sheriff Dept booth this year. She spoke with Dar and they decided showing the goggles as a separate event has not been worthwhile.  Mark agreed.

When Jenna hears back from Warren, she'll email out a request for volunteers.

Parent Party Patrol: Working with Becky fromADSGC for some new ways to increase the exposure for Parent Party Patrol forums, doing things like presenting at school-orientation nights. Unsure at this time how the new MIP law will change things for presentations at MIP classes.

Finances:
Donation to Sr. Sober acknowledged. Jenna error, donated $300. Mark moved and the Task Force approved that change in the donation level.

Cost of living increase, Jenna's wages 2 to 4% until October increase.  Jenna let the Task Force know they would need to make that decision again.

Approve funding for Virtual Town Hall license to maintain up to date web presence, $300.  Allows us to have an interactive website. Mark asked if we should table this or approve it. Shanda moved for approval; Jami seconded.  The motion passed.

Deputy Luhrsen, request to sponsor compliance checks. Not present. Tabled until next meeting.

Overtime patrol, MHP, Warped Tour. June 20th.  Jami felt this a great idea. Bob motioned for approval if someone signs up to work the shift. Mark seconded.  Motion carried.  There was some conversation about the ins and outs of safety checks.

Rent change, to $125.  MADD pays $60.  Agreed not to change their billing.

Gifts for Parent Party Patrol members. The group voted to purchase plaques as thank yous avert some discussion of appropriate use of funds for these kinds of volunteer “incentives.”  Purchase of plaques approved. Mark moved, Todd seconded.

Draft of 3-year Plan:  Preliminary discussion.  Karen presented her suggestions for reworking the outline of projects developed during the budget sessions.  She also made suggestions for a mini-grant application form.  Her work is attached.

Draft of DUI cost card:
Jenna presented her work on the business-sized “cost of DUI card” that we distribute through Motor Vehicles. She explained revisions in costing, in items used to illustrate DUI costs, and asked for input on the amount of information she's squeezing on the card.  Jami suggested we track movie tickets rather than gasoline since Todd pointed out DUIs will not be buying gasoline (so that money would be saved, not spent). Jenna said she's waiting for some better figures on insurance costs to add to the totals.

Elections held: Bob, Chair. Todd, Vice-chair (until his position changes with the county); Annie (MSU, will replace Jami), secretary; Mark, Treasurer.  Vote was unanimous.

Jenna, job evaluation: Jenna will ask HR that the job evaluation form be emailed to Mark.  Mark and Bob, possibly Dar and Sherry Murphy, will form the job evaluation committee.

Next Meeting: August 20th
Meeting adjourned 7:00 PM
