January minutes: Steve motioned to approve, Christina seconded, motion carried.
New Business
Coordinator update on activities.
Shelly from ADSGC reported on the ACT class revamp. The current curriculum is 30 years old. Alcohol and Drug Services have developed clinical individualized services along with administrative revisions as well. Currently the ACT classes are receiving over 20 admits a week. Jenna’s involvement has been very helpful.
Board training, follow up from January 19th – Jenna, Christina, and Steve attended the board training for Nonprofit Leadership presented jointly by the United Way, Gilhousen Foundation, Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, and the Rock Solid Foundation. Discussed new ideas, i.e. volunteers doing more for Task Force, better utilization of board members. Steve will present a questionnaire and take on board training including orientation and explanation of responsibilities etc.
Marketing
Swimming Upstream Awards - April 12, 2007 has been set as the tentative date for the ceremony in conjunction with Alcohol and Drug Services.
Judge Salvani will be invited to present awards for Law and Justice. Other awards to be presented in the following areas; Community Health, World of Education, Public Policy, for Profit Business, Community Service, Faith, Mental Health, Public Safety, and Public Service.
Finances
Budget discussion, tabled until next meeting.
New mini-grant requests
Gallatin County Office of Court Services, Eric Bryson, requesting $1,139.19 for NADCP Annual Conference in Washington D.C. - All in favor, approved by board.
Community Mediation Center requesting $1,000.00 for funding of Minor in Possession Impact Panel. – All in favor, approved by board.
Manhattan Police Department, Officer Jeff McRae, requesting $867.00 for 3 passive alcohol detection devices. – All in favor, approved by board.
Additional Items
PBT – Matthew Lowy informed board that PBT is now admissible evidence in Gallatin County Justice
Court due to the success of Steve Scott’s expert testimony.
