Coordinator Update (activities)
December Interview with Ted Sullivan – Reporting Stats
Legislative discussion with Jenny H, MSU.
ACT class revamp.
Board training, January 19th – Jenna, Christina, and Steve will attend the board training for Nonprofit Leadership presented jointly by the United Way, Gilhousen Foundation, Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, and the Rock Solid Foundation.

Marketing
Holiday Season – Jenna – Money seemed to be well spent, there was good coverage in the Chronicle.
Alli took BAC cards to local health clubs and doctors offices.  

Posters were also distributed.

Swimming Upstream Awards -  April 12, 2007 has been set as the tentative date for the Swimming
Upstream Awards ceremony in conjunction with Alcohol and Drug Services.

Sheriff’s work force vest discussion.
Sgt Greg Bishop representing the GCSO stated that people on the work force are prisoners and may be there for crimes other than DUI.  The Sheriff believes that people on the work force should only be designated as jail prisoners.

Matt asked what if a judge orders a prisoner to where a vest designating them as a DUI offender.  Sgt Bishop replied that the Sheriff runs the work force and it is his call as to how the prisoners are clothed.

Term expirations.  Katie’s term ends in February.

Finances
Authorization for additional hours for the coordinator to complete April/May 2006 DUI states research was discussed.
This is no longer covered by Safe Kids, Safe Communities.
Jenna stated this could be done in the form of a Community Mini-grant
Matt motioned that the amount requested, $729.64, be funded in a mini-grant.  Sherie seconded.  Approved.

DUI Task Force roundtable with MADD
This was the first quarterly DUI roundtable sponsored by MADD and the DUI Task Force.  
Representatives at the meeting presented their goals and efforts in combating DUI.  
Jennie, the MADD Coordinator, gave short presentation on how MADD is organized and funded.
Jenna mentioned that one of the benefits of working with MADD is they can fund some things the TF cannot and vice versa.  
The next DUI TF/MADD DUI roundtable is scheduled for April 18.
