DUI, You can't Afford It Signs

4 signs were approved at a cost of $195 each.
Marketing projects
Posters for Halloween
Monster Hand w/ Margarita ‚ a great picture but text needs a logo or something to make it look more official. ‚unanimous approval.
Keys w/ Beer,‚ The Party's Over, unanimous approval
Pumpkin Coasters- great idea, but probably out of our budget
Clown Costume ‚ some liked, but about half said clowns were creepy.
Monster Hand, and Key‚ w/Beer were approved with a max budget of $200.
Ad in support of the new Detention Center
Susan mentioned that Jenna had drafted a letter to the editor and explained that an ad must be very carefully written, as to not violate the state statute regarding lobbying for political policies.
Would we have enough time to get the ad in? Group decided that unless an ad was already planned by Jenna, we should just submit the letter
Holiday Advertising
Postcards? 1600 cards cost about $900.
Why can't we send an e-mail postcard for free? The problem with an e-mail postcard would be getting the Chamber of Commerce e-mail list. A guy named David helped the PD get an e-mail list.
Chronicle Ads? Cost: $540
Susan wants more Christmas ads
Group decided to have Jenna send an e-mail regarding the Chronicle, bathroom stall ads and stroll buttons, because we were all unsure as to what we should do.
RBSS Update
There were no registered participants for the October class, and two people showed up, so they were told to come in November
Compliance Checks
Citations NEED to be reported to DOR. We think this is happening, but just wanted to make sure the PD knows that they need to be reported.
Finances
Bob Larson motioned to approve RBSS mini grant. Motion passed.
