Public comment: none

New Business
  • Officer elections: Motion to approve the slate of Susan for chair, Ken for vice chair and K.C. for secretary/treasurer by acclimation. Gordon moved. Chuck seconded. Approved.
  • Discussion of CEASE Advisory group and the need for people to step up for the finance committee.
  • Membership drive: we need new  eed members. Application/responsibility sheets were distributed. Current Task Force members were urged to campaign for new members.
  • Strategic Planning: Motion to approve the advisory council charter with corrections by Susan. Gordon seconded. Approved.
  • Annual Report: Motion to approve by Susan. Gordon second. Approved.  
Finances
  • Jenna pointed out a fiscal error on the budget - concern was money was loaded into other grants, which emptied the reserve.  Motion to approve changes to the budget was by Susan; Ken seconded. Approved.
  • Manhattan Police Department is giving out business cards/flyer PSA. This action is a result of 4 recent serious DUIs, one fatal. They plan to put posters into schools, requesting money from Task Force - after discussion, was decided that a banner from the MHP would be loaned to the department. The representative from the department also said they are planning a mock accident event in the spring.
  • CEASE APPLICATIONS
  • K.C. presented an application for a DUI crash trailer. The trailer would present a recent fatal DUI crash to area Proms and rodeo as well as other events. $1,200 requested. Motion to approve by Terry D. Second by Doug. Approved.
  • Childcare/Connections' application for Empty Dinner Party.  Motion to approve $480 by Susan. Second by Gordon. Approved.
  • Streamline/AMSU advertising request for Exponent. Three options/requests - $1,920, $1,600 and $960. Motion to approve the lower amount by Susan. Second by K. C. Approved for $960.
  • A request by Jenna to move $1,800 from CEASE to PI&E accounts. Susan motioned to approve. Gordon seconded. Approved.
  • A mentoring contract with Terry Profota, Sage Solutions, (8 mos contract at $100 per mos). Motion to approve by K. C.; seconded by Terry D. Approved.

 Meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m. Pizza party followed.
