Finances
- Jenna emailed the budget update on Tuesday, April 19th. She made a brief presentation on the proposed budget for fiscal 2012. As discussed previously, the budget will largely be the same as last year’s less expended MDT grant funds. Unspent funds may be used up to September 30th. She has invited Bozeman PD to submit a grant for the remaining camera that Three Forks opted to not purchase. The Task Force would need to supplement the MDT funding in order to purchase the camera that Bozeman PD would want.
- Jenna also emailed a proposal for Fiscal 2011 Strategic Planning Contract with Terry Profota in the amount of $1500. If the budget is basically the same as last year’s that line item is already built in.
- She also notified the group that the PI&E Work Group is moving forward with another movie theater advertising contract for the August/September Back to School period.
Grant Committee update
In March the committee met with Terry and Jenna and proposed a grant process. Those plans will be presented as part of the Strategic Plan. They also made recommendations on two previously presented grants. They recommended the Task Force fund the PBTs requested by Court Services and the grant to Connie Campbell from the Community Mediation Center, for her to put all of Jenna’s DUI research in one data base, then to work with Jenna to decide what charts and comparisons of DUI Task Force April/May stats to run/create, and to do that work.
- Susan agreed that stats work is within the DUI Task Force guidelines, and that PBTs directly relate to the work we are doing. She moved to approve both grants as presented by the Grants Work Group. Bob seconded. Motion approved.
The Meeting adjourned at 5:45 PM so members could attend a presentation by guest speaker MADD member Becky Sturdevant, presenting on Drugged Driving in Montana.
