I have reviewed the application and it appears to be in order. As long as the erosion control is rigorously maintained, I do not see any issues that would prevent issuance of the permit.

I would recommend that a stipulation be added that the final planting plan in the bio-retention area be approved by the Agent.

Information/approval on the septic system from the Health Department is still required.
1.0.3. 7 Shawkemo Path
Based on the questions raised at the last meeting, the issues concerning any grading/fill in the rear of the existing house still need to be finalized. The applicant did reach out to the building inspector concerning the building code requirements for the slab upon which the addition will be placed. I met with the applicant and the building inspector on site on 11/26/13. The issue of the building code requirements and the proposed addition were addressed. The applicant indicated that there will be some excavation immediately adjacent to the existing foundation and some fill and stone brought in to level the area under the slab. I requested that we be supplied with the estimated quantities of each. These quantities have not been supplied. Revised plans were submitted on 12/2/13, and they show the outlet for the roof run-off area to be discharged to “daylight”. We need to know the size of the discharge and we may need to request that some rip-rap be placed at the pipe outlet to prevent erosion. I believe these can be handled via stipulations, including approval by the Agent.
Should the NOI be approved, I would request a condition be attached that requires that construction details of the roof recharge area be submitted to and be approved by the Agent prior to any construction of this area.
