  • Earth Day Clean-Up: Lindgren volunteered to pick up Blue Bags in Concord and place them in the Post Office, Library and Town Offices.  Carbee will send out an email flash.  There is no organized event this year.  A Trails Day will be scheduled in June after black fly season.
  • Volunteers are sought to help clean out the duck boxes on Saturday.  Wear waders.  Also, a pruning session for the crabtrees in the wildlife habitat fields is scheduled for 1:00 Sunday.  Meet at the trailhead.
  • Scott Carbee suggests taking soil samples from the fields in the Town Forest, and providing nourishment to the wildlife habitat vegetation as may be appropriate.
  • Chair Hardwick will send Town Forester Ron Klemarczyk a plat of the Chase Easement so that he can propose an estimate for marking its boundaries.  Hardwick will also request a date when the Board might meet with him to guide a walk in Shattuck Town Forest to view an area that might be ready to harvest.
  • Lindgren made a motion to create a Stewardship Account within the Conservation Fund, which would be dedicated to stewardship activities.  Although there would not be any restrictions to prevent the use of monies in the Stewardship Account for other general Conservation Fund disbursements, it would help to recognize and identify the scope of the Board’s commitment to easement stewardship.  Crooker seconded the motion.  All in favor.
  • Crooker moved to adjourn at 9:20 p.m. Shuffleton seconded the motion.  All in favor.
                                                Respectfully Submitted,
