Meeting Minutes
Cemetery Commission
November 14, 2011, 7pm

Present:   Betsy Wiederhold, Bob Abbott and Ethel MacStubbs

Minutes of 10-7-11 meeting read.  The words “we speculate” in paragraph 2 are removed.
Moved to accept as amended.   All in favor.
Minutes of 11-5-11 read.   Moved to accept as read.   All in favor.

Our deed needs another line for the Selectperson to sign.  Ethel will draft that document.

The issue of the General Maintenance Fund was discussed.  The fund is held in trust by the Trustees of the Trust Funds and increased by revenues from sale of lots.   At the budget meeting of 11/9 the CC was asked to draft a plan by 15 Dec, as to how this fund will be used.     Henry Kundhart was volunteered to assist us in the process.  After much discussion Betsy and Bob thought it would be helpful to speak with all the Trustees of T.F. before beginning our draft, taking into consideration the inherent limitations and complications of the present Perpetual Care Trust Fund.   Ethel will contact Henry to find when we could meet with them.

Bob would like to see a copy of the letter sent from the Town to Attorney Barton Mayer which Attn Mayer responded to 10-3-11,  re. the legality of the wording in our deed and
the establishment of the G.C.M.T..

Betsy would like Phyllis Naegli to come to our next meeting to discuss what we now understand to be the procedure around indigent burials.   We have questions and   concerns.   Betsy left a message with Phyllis asking if she could attend our next meeting of 11/21.

Betsy will contact Jim Cleary and Andy Roblee,  re. the tree at #3 No, needing to be taken down.   We estimate we have @$940. remaining in our budget to cover this.

Betsy wished to discuss the responsibilities of chair person.    We affirmed how we each take on what we are most able to contribute to the whole and further how we can share the more difficult tasks.

Next meeting scheduled for Monday, November 21st, 7pm.

Respectfully submitted,
E.B. MacStubbs
