ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
MEETING MINUTES
Thursday – June 3, 2010
356 Main Street - Farmington, NH
Members Present: Elmer W. "Butch" Barron III, John David Aylard, Joanne Shompe and Paul Parker.
Members Excused: Joe Pitre
Town Staff Present: Town Planner Kathy Menici
Public Present: Norman Arcand and Nancy Arcand
Chairman Barron called the meeting to order at 6:37pm.
Business Before the Board:
Review and approve the Meeting Minutes of 3-4-10:
Joanne Shompe motioned to accept the minutes of 3-4-10 as amended, 2nd John David Aylard. Motion carried with Joe Pitre abstaining.
Continued Cases:
Application for an Area Variance Approval By: Norman and Nancy Arcand (Tax Map U10, Lot 53) To allow for a pool and deck to remain on the property, in the Urban Residential (UR) Zoning District. Parcel is located at 40 Mooney Street.
Chairman Barron informed the Board that a continuance was requested based on the premise that the court case was continued. Mr. Arcand stated they have not yet been to court yet and the court date is now scheduled for August 19, 2010. Kathy Menici stated that town counsel suggested the Board act on this application and not continue it to a future date. She then informed the Board that the variance standard has become stricter since the application was originally brought before the Board. The Board was in agreement that they should not act on this application until after the court case. John David Aylard motioned to continue the application for an area variance by Norman and Nancy Arcand (Tax Map U10, Lot 53) to October 7, 2010 and all abutters should be
notified of this continuance date with associated fees paid by the applicant, 2nd Joanne Shompe. Motion carried with all in favor.
- John Aylard motioned to carry the officers forward for another year, 2nd Joanne Shompe. Motion carried with all in favor.
John Aylard motioned to adjourn, 2nd Joanne Shompe. Motion carried with all in favor at 6:58pm.
Chairman Barron adjourned the meeting.
