Meeting Minutes

The meeting started at 5:05 p.m.
Review of minutes
Minutes of May 17, 2007. The draft minutes were approved with the following corrections:
• Under Review of Withdrawals and Deposits, last item: added “to be made” after
“Deposits”.
• Under New Business, part b: “already by present” changed to “already be present”.
• Under Old Business, part e: “will have to be rescinded” changed to “may have to be
rescinded”.
Review of Transactions
• OnMay 18, $2,000 was deposited into the Beulah Thayer Scholarship Fund, increasing
the principal.
• On May 18, $500 was withdrawn from the Annie Thayer Scholarship Fund and paid
to Rocky Hunter.
• On May 18, $520 was withdrawn from the Samuel Burnham Trust and paid to Carl
Garland, for cemetery care for 2004–2007.

Scholarship Request
A request from Hannah Quigley for a scholarship from the Charles and Elizabeth Webster
Scholarship Fund was denied because the applicant did not satisfy the conditions placed on
scholarships from that fund. The chairman will write a letter of regret to Hannah Quigley.
Leon Hayes Funds
The trustees scheduled a hearing on the revision of the minutes of Januuary 13, 2005 for
July 26, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. The trustees decided to formally ask for the return of the expended
principal from the Town of Farmington ($20,000) and the 500 Boys and Girls Club
($9,600), to start the process of replenishing the Leon Hayes Funds. The chairman will
write the letters requesting the return of the money.
Other Business
• The trustees received a $3,000 check for deposit into the Recreation Department
CRF, as authorized by the 2007 Town Meeting under Article 16.
• The trustees received a request for payment of $3,509 from the Technology Fund for
four computers, authorized by the selectmen. The trustees agreed to the payment.
The next meeting was scheduled for July 26, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 5:38 p.m.
