PUBLIC MEETING MINUTES
Monday, March 1, 2010

Selectmen Present: Chairman Paula Proulx, Gerry McCarthy, Charlie King, Gail Ellis and Joan Funk
Town Staff Present: Town Administrator Tony Mincu
Chairman Paula Proulx opened the meeting at 6:00pm.
1. Public Comment:
Joan stated that the Downtown Committee would like to draw the winner of the passport promotion they have been running to promote “buying local” at the Board meeting following the April 15th deadline to pass the entries in. The Board agreed this would be okay.
2. Review of Minutes:
A. Joan Funk motioned to accept the public minutes of January 25, 2010, 2nd Charlie King. Discussion followed in which there were several changes that needed to be discussed with Brandy. Motion withdrawn.
Joan Funk motioned to table the public minutes of January 25, 2010, 2nd Charlie King. Motion carried with all in favor.
B. Joan Funk motioned to accept the non-public minutes of January 25, 2010, 2nd Charlie King. Discussion followed in which there were changes that needed to be discussed with Brandy. Motion withdrawn.
Joan Funk motioned to table the non-public minutes of January 25, 2010, 2nd Charlie King. Motion carried with all in favor.
C. Joan Funk motioned to accept the public minutes of February 1, 2010, 2nd Charlie King. Discussion followed in which there were changes that needed to be discussed with Brandy. Motion withdrawn.
Joan Funk motioned to table the public minutes of February 1, 2010, 2nd Charlie King. Motion carried with all in favor.
D. Joan Funk motioned to accept the public minutes of February 8, 2010 as amended, 2nd Charlie King. Motion carried with all in favor.
E. Joan Funk motioned to accept the non-public minutes of February 8, 2010, 2nd Charlie King. Motion carried with all in favor.
3. Updates:
A. Paula asked have if any interested candidates have come forward for the VNA Board of Directors Representative from Farmington. Tony said no, but it is posted on the website.
B. Tony informed the Board that the drive shaft on the Town Clock is broken due to the weather but the repairs have been scheduled. Gail asked if the insurance will cover the repairs and Tony replied that the deductible may be more than the repairs but he would look into it.
C. Gerry informed the Board that there is a new flashing light at the end of Central Street by Cameron’s and this should help with some of the dangerous traffic.
At 6:19pm, Joan Funk motioned to go in non-public session under RSA 91A.3.II (a) and (c), 2nd Gail Ellis. Roll Call – Paula Proulx (yes), Joan Funk (yes), Gerry McCarthy (yes), Charlie King (yes) and Gail Ellis (yes).
Joan Funk motioned to adjourn, 2nd Gerry McCarthy. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 11:09pm.
