BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2007
MEETING MINUTES
Selectmen Present: Chairman Gerry McCarthy, Vice Chairman Marty Gilman, Paula Proulx.
Also Present: Town Administrator Anthony Mincu, Public Works Director Joel Moulton
At 8:40 AM, Chairman McCarthy called the meeting to order. This meeting was posted as an emergency meeting to accept a bid for the Ten Rod Road Bridge Repair. There was a query as to why the #3 bidder was chosen. We are still $45,000 under budget and $53,000 was the lowest. It was explained that the #1 bidder was not qualified and the #2 bidder has accepted a $4,000,000 job and did not want to commit to this job. #3 has been contacted and will be ready to go.
Substantial completion scheduled for November 4, 2007.
Marty Gilman motioned to accept the bid from Wyman and Simpson for $234,570. Paula Proulx seconded the motion. Marty, Gerry and Paula in favor. Motion passed.
Paula Proulx motioned to adjourn seconded by Marty Gilman. All in favor.
